‘Partners’ statue refurbishment completed at Magic Kingdom

Disney has completed the refurbishment of the iconic Partners statue in Magic Kingdom. Work has been taking place on the statue for the past few weeks, but Walt Disney Imagineering has announced the project recently wrapped up.

You can view their announcement on Instagram below:

Disney restored the statue to its original appearance, stripping the sculpture down to bare metal before cleaning and reapplying the patina. They also applied a protective polymer and wax to keep the Partners statue looking its best.

This refurbishment was timed to be completed in advance of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary on October 1, 2021.
