Mickey Mouse is heading to a brand new meet and greet location at Epcot. Disney announced that the star of Walt Disney World will meet guests at the Imagination Pavilion just inside the entrance of the Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival beginning in early 2020.
Previously, Mickey and the gang could be found meeting at the Character Spot located within Innoventions West. Epcot’s significant overhaul has closed that old meeting location and will force the characters to meet in temporary locations for the foreseeable future.
Where will Mickey and his friends meet once the overhaul of Epcot is complete? That’s a great question that hasn’t been specifically addressed by Disney at this time. The new neighborhoods of Epcot should provide a more permanent meet and greet location, but that’s at least a few years away.
