Individual character experiences returning to Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios – but no hugs or autographs yet

Updated:

Disney has announced that more entertainment is returning to Walt Disney World! More character spots are reopening and guests will soon be able to have individual time with select characters.

Disney specifically notes that hugs and autographs aren’t back yet, but guests will have their own individual experience. Guests will be able to snap some pictures in these specific character meet-and-greets.

From Disney’s announcement:

“Over the past year, beloved Disney Characters have been popping up in cavalcades, motorcades, flotillas, and surprise sightings, much to the delight of our guests, and Iโ€™m pleased to tell you many of those experiences will be continuing. Although the environment is not right just yet for hugs and autographs, youโ€™ll soon be able to have individualized time with some of your favorite characters, getting to visit with them in a themed location and snap a photo or two.”

Guests will be able to enjoy the following experiences beginning in November.

At Magic Kingdom, the princesses are coming back to Princess Fairytale Hall. The princesses will still be seen in the cavalcades, but this will allow guests a closer experience. On Main Street USA, Mickey Mouse will once again meet guests in the Town Square Theater.

Shifting to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Minnie Mouse will meet guests at Red Carpet Dreams. The stars of Disney Junior will also meet guests in Animation Courtyard.

It’s great to see more entertainment reopening at Walt Disney World. Though the character experience remains modified, it’ll be nice to have the opportunity to see characters more often.
