Holiday decorations are going up around the Tomorrowland Speedway

The holidays have officially arrived at Walt Disney World! That’s the most obvious at the Magic Kingdom where decorations can already be seen around Main Street ahead of the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party on November 8.

One of the new additions to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this year is a holiday twist on the Tomorrowland Speedway. Drivers can already see some new holiday trees that have been positioned near the track.

Previously, Disney released some concept art showcasing the holiday version of the Tomorrowland Speedway.

You can spot the new white Christmas trees on the left side of the concept art. While concept art should never be considered a guarantee of what’s to come, it looks like more decorations – including lots of lights – may be added to the Tomorrowland Speedway.

We’re always in favor of Disney trying new things and expanding the festive fun. But, we still wonder what’s in store for the Tomorrowland Speedway. The attraction could use a serious facelift if it hopes to avoid sticking out against the backdrop of a very modern TRON coaster.
