Exterior walls are starting to go up for the Guardians of the Galaxy coaster at Epcot

The first exterior walls are starting to go up for the Guardians of the Galaxy coaster at Epcot. Previously, we’ve seen the steel framing progress as the enormous building rose near the former Universe of Energy building.

Courtesy of Blog Mickey and @bioreconstruct, we can see that “go-away-green” walls are going up on the framing on one side of the building. The photo at the top of this page has the new walls highlighted with a red and yellow arrow.

Below, you can see a different angle of the building with the new walls going up on the left side.

The green walls appear to be similar, if not identical, to the ones placed on the exterior of the Ratatouille in World Showcase. The green color scheme is often used in an attempt to make buildings blend into their surroundings.

However, it remains to be seen if the building will have any theming added to the exterior. It would seem a little silly to assume painting the outside green would make a building of this size blend in.

Of course, it could be worse. What if Figment chose the colors?
