Epcot’s Club Cool will close in September 2019, but will later reopen in a new capacity and location

It’s a rite of passage to make first-time Epcot visitors try the Beverly drink at Club Cool. The extremely bitter beverage creates some unforgettable reactions for unsuspecting guests. Unfortunately, Club Cool will be closing on September 8, 2019 as Epcot’s transformation of Future World begins.

Thankfully, Club Cool won’t be disappearing forever. Disney has announced that Club Cool will reopen in the future in a new capacity at a different location. Details regarding how or where Club Cool will be incorporated haven’t been announced at this time.

Club Cool’s closure is just one of many taking place around Future World. Innoventions East, The Electric Umbrella, Starbucks, the Epcot Character Spot and MouseGear will all close later in 2019. Both MouseGear and Starbucks will take on new temporary locations after their primary locations close.

As awesome as it is to hear Club Cool will be returning, guests shouldn’t expect an identical recreation of the current version when the new location opens. Future World’s transformation is significant and won’t carry on many – or any – of the existing elements or themes.

Epcot, specifically Future World, will go through a significant transformation over the next couple years. Thankfully, tricking your family and friends into trying Beverly appears to still be in Epcot’s long-term plans.
