Disney+ will feature a behind-the-scenes look at Animal Kingdom and Epcot’s SeaBase aquarium

Updated:

Disney has revealed a bunch of new information about Disney+, highlighting when the streaming service will launch, how much it will cost and what the interface will look like. They also revealed some of the content that’s scheduled to arrive on the streaming platform.

One of the offerings that caught our eye was called Magic of Animal Kingdom. This special series / show will take viewers behind the scenes at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and at the SeaBase aquarium inside Epcot, showing what it takes to run one of the most advanced veterinary locations in the world.

Below is the official description of the Magic of Animal Kingdom courtesy of Disney.

“In the heart of Central Florida, a team of more than 1,000 highly respected animal-care experts, veterinarians, and biologists perform groundbreaking work at Disneyโ€™s Animal Kingdom theme park and Epcot SeaBase aquarium. Now for the first time, National Geographic will offer viewers an all-access pass into the 24/7 world of the incredible animal caretakers running one of the most advanced veterinary facilities in the world.”

The Magic of the Animal Kingdom is expected to be available in Year One of the Disney+ launch.

This sounds like a fascinating look behind the scenes at the animals who call Walt Disney World home. While we aren’t sure if this will be an episodic series or just a one-off film, Disney fans will love seeing what goes on behind the scenes at these two theme parks.

Personally, we loved learning about the SeaBase aquarium during The Seas Aqua Tour that allowed us to swim inside the aquarium. There we learned just a little bit about the work and dedication that goes on to take care of the animals away from the eyes of guests. We can’t wait to learn more when watching the Magic of the Animal Kingdom.
