Disney Cruise Line extends Future Cruise Credit deadline to September 2022

Disney Cruise Line is extending the expiration date for Future Cruise Credits. Guests who have received the 125% credit following a cancelled cruise can now use their credit for sailings through September 30, 2022.

Disney Cruise Line has notified guests who have received the credit about the change. Previously, the Future Cruise Credit had to be used for sailings by May 31, 2022. The four-month extension will allow guests to select from more itineraries when rebooking.

To date, it’s unclear when Disney Cruise Line will resume sailing. They’ve officially cancelled all sailings through early May 2021 and recently removed all May 2021 sailings from their website.

We’d expect Disney Cruise Line to be patient and let other companies resume cruising first. Disney exercised this strategy with the reopening of their theme parks and they’ll likely do the same with Disney Cruise Line.
