Construction update on the Ratatouille ride and France pavilion at Epcot

It’s time to venture over to Epcot to see the latest on the construction of the new Ratatouille attraction at the France pavilion. The ride, which is expected to open in Summer 2020, is a part of a large expansion to the France pavilion that will include a brand new crepe restaurant.

Recently, a large steel frame has been installed at the back of the pavilion.

This new black steel structure sits just in front of a large green steel structure.

The green steel area looks like it may be a portion of a queue. We’d wager a guess that the black steel structure will be more decorative than functional, assisting in concealing the view of the Eiffel Tower from the ground where the proximity could ruin the forced perspective illusion.

You can take in a great view of the France pavilion updates from the Disney Skyliner.

We can’t wait for work to wrap up on the France pavilion in Summer 2020. Not only will a high-quality attraction open that the whole family can enjoy, but the whole expansion will add a new layer of depth to one of Epcot’s deepest pavilions.
