What’s new with the construction on the Guardians of the Galaxy indoor coaster at Epcot? To date, we’ve seen that the front of the old Universe of Energy building was demolished and construction on the new ride building shows that it’s going to be enormous.
Today, we have a couple new photos from @bioreconstruct that show both the scale of the new ride building compared to Spaceship Earth, and a look at how the new building will connect to the original Universe of Energy building.
Below, you can see the steel framing for the connection tunnel to the right of the tall ride building.

It’s worth noting that both photos are taken from slightly distorting angles (the ride building won’t actually be larger than Spaceship Earth), but there’s no getting around the fact this is an immense project.
When completed, the Guardians of the Galaxy indoor coaster will be one of the largest indoor coasters in the world.
