Guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom may have noticed a sizable building rising up in the area between the Festival of the Lion King and the walkway into Pandora. This new building will serve as the home for Club 33 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and will transform what was a very quiet and serene walkway.
We have a great look at the construction progress of the Club 33 building courtesy of @WDWTraveler.
You can see that the building sits in an area across from the Festival of the Lion King restrooms that used to be full of trees and landscaping .
The Club 33 building can be seen sticking out above the restroom building when entering Africa from the bridge to Discovery Island.
It’s a bit disappointing to see a wooded landscape cut down for a building that the vast majority of Walt Disney World guests will never be able to visit. The other Club 33 locations at the Magic Kingdom (Adventureland), Epcot (American Adventure) and Hollywood Studios (Brown Derby) are mostly tucked away and “hidden” from guests. That doesn’t appear to be the case here as the Club 33 building looks like it will be impossible to overlook at Animal Kingdom.
