Car Locator Feature Coming to the My Disney Experience and Disneyland Apps

Updated:

You just spent a long day at Walt Disney World or Disneyland and now comes the greatest test of all – remembering where you parked. Thankfully, Disney is rolling out a new feature in the My Disney Experience and Disneyland apps to help guests find their car.

The car locator feature is a complimentary addition to both apps that will roll out at Walt Disney World this summer and Disneyland later in 2022. At Walt Disney World, guests will be able to use the feature at all four theme parks, Disney Springs, both water parks and at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports.

Here’s some additional info from Disney’s announcement.

Car locator is a complimentary feature that uses location technology to find and save your parking details. The feature functions best when you enable Location Services, Bluetooth, and Notifications on your mobile device.

The feature will be available at all four Walt Disney World theme parks, Disney Springs, Disney Water Parks, and the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. All you have to do is open your My Disney Experience app and tap the car locator card on your home screenโ€”or you can use the Feature menu (โ˜ฐ) for access.

After that, follow the prompts to enter your parking information. If you choose to enable location permissions on your device, car locator can help fill in the details for you. When youโ€™re ready to leave, return to car locator for your parking information.

Everything about the car locator feature sounds promising, though we have some slight concerns about even more features being added to the somewhat buggy Disney apps. Assuming everything goes according to plan, guests won’t have to snap photos of their vehicle’s location when visiting Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
