An update on the construction of Epcot’s Space restaurant

The new Space restaurant that’s coming to Future World at Epcot is really taking shape. The latest aerial photos show that the exterior work is nearing completion for the restaurant that will sit between Test Track and Mission: SPACE.

Guests on Test Track zip past the curved wall of the Space restaurant during the outdoor portion of their ride. That curved wall will serve as the “window into space” and will show diners projections of space as they eat.

Besides the view from Test Track, the in-park views are mostly obscured at this time.

According to earlier reports, guests will be transported into space via a “shuttle” when they arrive at the Space restaurant before experiencing an out-of-this-world dining experience.

The Space restaurant doesn’t have an official name at this time, but it is rumored to be targeting a 2019 opening date.
