An “Avatar Experience” is Coming to Disneyland

Updated:

Disney CEO Bob Iger has announced that an “Avatar experience” is coming to Disneyland. Iger made the announcement during The Walt Disney Company’s first quarter 2023 earnings call.

Iger first praised Avatar: The Way of Water for surpassing $2 billion in global ticket sales, and for becoming the fourth highest-grossing film. He then added that an “Avatar experience” would be coming to Disneyland in the future.

The topic came up again during the Q&A portion of the call while Iger was discussing theme park attendance. This time he mentioned a “version” of Avatar would be coming to Disneyland, which raises more questions.

Iger didn’t mention any specifics or hard details on the Avatar experience at Disneyland. Could this be a replacement for Star Wars Launch Bay in Disneyland Park? A meet-and-greet? Or something else entirely?

More information on the mysterious Avatar experience is expected soon.
