Walt Disney World recently unveiled their new annual passholder system and there were some major changes. While Florida residents have a few passes to choose from, what’s available for non-Florida residents?
Non-Florida residents who are Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members can choose between the Disney Sorcerer Pass and the Disney Incredi-Pass. Non-Florida residents who are not DVC members are limited to just the Disney Incredi-Pass.
Disney Sorcerer Pass
- Available to DVC members and Florida residents only
- $1,079 plus tax (debut price)
- Hold up to 5 park reservations at a time
- Subject to blackout dates
Disney Incredi-Pass
- Available for everyone
- $1,549 plus tax (debut price)
- Hold up to 5 park reservations at a time
- No blackout dates
How does this compare to the old annual passholder system for those outside of Florida?
Originally, there were two passes available for non-Florida residents – the Platinum Pass and the Platinum Plus Pass. The new Incredi-Pass is basically the old Platinum Pass with PhotoPass downloads at an extra fee. The old Platinum Plus Pass has not been replaced, but now every annual pass can add on the Water Parks option at an additional fee.
Summarized, guests outside of Florida have about the same decision as they did before. They can get the Disney Incredi-Pass without the addition of water parks and it’s basically the old Platinum Pass. They can get the Disney Incredi-Pass and add on the water parks option and it’s basically the old Platinum Plus Pass. The only significant change is the increased price for roughly the same perks.
Walt Disney World just doesn’t have a lot of options for out-of-state guests seeking an annual pass.
