Visiting Walt Disney World regularly is easy if you live in the state of Florida. The theme park destination offers several Annual Pass options for residents of the Sunshine State. But, are there Annual Passes for people who live outside of the state of Florida?
Yes! Walt Disney World has a one annual pass option for out-of-state guests who are not Disney Vacation Club members. Click here to learn more about the Walt Disney World annual pass system Disney revealed back in August 2021.
Disney Incredi-Pass
The Disney Incredi-Pass is the current top-of-the-line pass that doesn’t carry any blackout dates. It’s also the only pass that’s available for guests who don’t live in Florida. It carries the highest price of any Walt Disney World annual pass. The Incredi-Pass also includes free parking at the theme parks and up to 20% off of select dining and merchandise. Unlike Disney’s previous annual pass system, PhotoPass downloads are no longer included.
How Do I Purchase a Disney World Annual Pass?
Purchasing and activating a Walt Disney World Annual Pass is easy. Visit the Annual Pass section of Walt Disney World’s website and find out more about the Incredi-Pass, and other passes available for Florida residents. You can also buy passes over the phone or in person at Guest Services.
Once your pass is purchased, make sure it’s linked to your My Disney Experience account. Then, you will need to activate your pass on the first day of your visit. You can do this by visiting Guest Services at any of Disney World’s theme parks or Disney Springs. Note that you’ll need to activate your annual pass within one year of purchasing it.
Is an Annual Pass Worth It?
It’s a simple math problem to determine if an annual pass is right for you when visiting from out of state. First, figure out how much an annual pass (or passes) will cost your family. Then, estimate how much the discounts on dining and merch the annual pass will save you. Finally, add up the total cost for theme park tickets you’d buy in one year. Compare everything and there’s your answer!
Generally, out-of-state guests need to visit Walt Disney World at least twice during the year for at least 10-12 days. We can’t give a blanket answer that you’d need to visit 10+ nights because Disney tickets become cheaper the longer you stay. The breakeven line varies by party, but for us we figured we needed to take at least two 5-night or 6-night trips each year for an annual pass to save us money.

How Do I Activate An Annual Pass?
You’ll need to activate your Annual Pass before being able to use it. This means visiting a Walt Disney World ticket location in person (these are located at each theme park and Disney Springs) and showing them your confirmation number and a photo ID.
Your one-year Annual Pass doesn’t officially begin until you’ve activated it.
When Is The Best Time To Buy A Disney World Annual Pass?
One of the best strategies to save money is to buy an Annual Pass in advance of a year in which you plan to visit Walt Disney World on multiple occasions. We bought our Annual Pass about four months prior to the year in which we planned to visit multiple times. This guaranteed that we had our ticket prices locked in before Disney could increase the price.
Disney traditionally increases annual pass prices once or twice each year, which should factor into your planning.
